Simple Afternoon

I was sitting on my couch, while watching TV getting bored. Suddenly the phone rings, I slowly get of the couch, probably just a wrong dial from my ex. But instead of my ex, a lady with a high irritating voice, starts speaking so rapidly like marathon runner, running the final lap. I think it was about a poker tournament that would be coming up, on TV. The squeaky height of her voice, made me stand on edge, therefore with much consideration, I slowly place the phone back. While her voice rose to a higher pitch, as her voice gradually faded.
Then I slowly remembered the next line
